At Inaday, we love to encourage new inventions. That’s why we offer two attractive programmes that allow you to request a patent screening or a patent application at a reduced rate. In addition, we’ll inform you about the SME Fund subsidy programme.

1. Patent screening with start-up discount

The first step: is your idea truly new? With this programme, you’ll receive an initial novelty search at a special start-up rate. For €1,035 (excl. VAT), we investigate whether your invention or innovation is already known in published patent literature. You’ll receive a clear report with relevant publications and honest advice on your chances of protection.

Conditions

  • Your company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
  • Your business is less than 3 years old.
  • One patent screening with start-up discount per company.

2. Patent application with start-up discount

Would you like to protect your innovation with an official patent application in the Netherlands? We offer a discounted patent application package for start-ups. For €4,680 (excl. VAT), our patent team prepares and files your application with the Netherlands Patent Office (OCNL).

Conditions

  • Your company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
  • Your business is less than 3 years old.
  • One discounted patent application per company.

What you receive

  • A patent application prepared by an experienced Dutch and European patent attorney.
  • Filing of your application with the Netherlands Patent Office (OCNL).
  • A national novelty search performed by OCNL after filing.

3. European patent application with EU SME Fund subsidy

Are you an SME focusing on the European market? Then you may be eligible for support from the European Union’s SME Fund — a subsidy scheme that financially supports SMEs with their European patent application.

This fund reimburses 50% of the costs of a European patent application, up to a maximum of €3,500. Once your subsidy has been approved, our patent team will carefully prepare and file your application with the European Patent Office (EPO).

Important to know: the SME Fund operates on a limited budget. Once the annual quota is reached, the fund closes again. It usually opens in February and is often fully subscribed within a few weeks. You must apply for the subsidy yourself through the official EU website.

SME Fund conditions

  • Your company qualifies as an SME.
  • You have a valid EU VAT number.
  • The subsidy application must be submitted via the official EU website.

What you receive from Inaday

  • Submission of the application to the European Patent Office (EPO).

Within ten working days, you will receive a draft European patent application from us. Once you approve it, we’ll submit it immediately — ensuring your SME voucher is activated well in time.
